CSUSB announces direct‑admission agreement guaranteeing seats for eligible district seniors

Jackson described the program as more than an admissions policy; he said it uses existing student data to streamline the process and shifts the conversation from "Will I get in?" to "What do I want to study?" He added the initiative is intended to benefit the region's workforce and economic development by encouraging more students to pursue four‑year degrees.
The board received the presentation as part of the public‑comment agenda and thanked the university representative and district staff for the partnership. No formal vote was required on the partnership during this meeting.
