The Village of Huntley Police Commission elected Jim Burgess as chair during its Oct. 2, 2024 general session meeting and approved several procedural motions, all by unanimous voice votes. The meeting was called to order at 11:32 a.m. at the Municipal Complex, Room C107.
Chairman Jim Burgess was approved as chair after a motion by Commissioner Dan Maloney and a second from Commissioner Judy Serrano; the voice vote recorded all ayes and the motion carried. The Commission also voted to approve the December 5, 2023 general session minutes and the December 5, 2023 executive session minutes (for content only); both motions passed on unanimous voice votes.
Director of Human Resources Chrissy Hoover noted that a draft of proposed amendments to the Commission’s rules and regulations will be prepared following attorney review and requested Commissioners submit suggested changes. The semi-annual review of executive session minutes was tabled for a future meeting.
The meeting adjourned at 12:16 p.m.; the next Police Commission meeting is scheduled for Wednesday, Nov. 13 at 11:30 a.m. The minutes were prepared and respectfully submitted by Melissa Thompson, HR Generalist.
