The Argo Community High School District 217 Board of Education approved a series of routine actions and received informational reports at its Jan. 21 regular meeting.
The board approved the Dec. 17, 2025 regular meeting minutes (motion #2026-106) and executive session minutes (motion #2026-107). It then approved the January 2026 financial report and monthly payroll (motion #2026-110) and accounts payable/IMPREST (motion #2026-111). All motions were adopted on roll-call votes recorded as unanimous among the six members present.
Administrators reported the district received and fulfilled nine FOIA requests. The board heard informational materials on employee health programs: the district’s 10th annual wellness screening had 43 participants (49 registered; six no-shows) and 100% of participants completed a Health Risk Assessment. The board also reviewed the Perspectives Employee Assistance Program impact report, which showed an annual district cost to the provider of $3,402 and a current utilization rate reported as 5.82%, down from 16.93% the prior year; the packet states utilization decreased by 11.11%.
The board voted to adjourn to executive session at 6:43 p.m. to discuss personnel matters, potential litigation and a semiannual review of closed minutes (motion #2026-112), reconvened and adjourned the executive session at 7:35 p.m. (motion #2026-113), and approved the January 2026 personnel report after returning to open session (motion #2026-114). The meeting concluded with a motion to adjourn at 7:36 p.m. (motion #2026-115).
