At the Feb. 23 board meeting, Dora Salinas, the district's Multilingual Coordinator, presented the Dual Language and Multilingual Resource Program Redesign Framework, describing planned changes to program structure and resources to support multilingual learners.
Erik Youngman, Director of Teaching and Learning, presented the NWEA MAP winter overview and identified districtwide enrollment concerns. Youngman told the board that district enrollment trends and assessment results will inform a forthcoming proposal scheduled for the March 16, 2026 board meeting.
Board members received the presentations; no formal action was taken on program redesign or the assessment results at this meeting. Administration indicated staff will return with a proposal at the March meeting for board consideration.
