Superintendent Julious Lawson presented personnel recommendations on Feb. 23, 2026, and the board approved them as part of the consent agenda and a separate contract amendment.
The consent agenda included resignations and retirements: Kamara Coke-Thaxter (Student Services Coordinator, effective Feb. 9, 2026); Linda Donovan (intent to retire, Instructional Interventionist for Lakeview Elementary, effective end of 2026–2027); Deirdra Jackson (resignation as Beulah Park Elementary principal, effective June 30, 2026); Zack Kraemer (resignation as Lakeview Elementary principal, effective June 30, 2026); Kelly Llanas (intent to retire, Math Instructional Coach, effective end of 2025–2026); Kimberly Monk (resignation as Director of Student Services, effective June 30, 2026); Mike Scofield (intent to retire as Director of Technology, effective June 30, 2026); Elizabeth Thompson (resignation as Curriculum Coordinator, effective June 30, 2026); and Melissa Vile (resignation as Instructional Interventionist, effective Jan. 29, 2026).
The superintendent also recommended employment of new personnel contingent on required medical and background checks and certifications: Michelle Bell (Paraprofessional, Beulah Park Elementary, Classified Step 3, $21.04/hr), Nicole Hernandez (Paraprofessional, East Elementary, Classified Step 0, $20.43/hr), Maggie Soto (Paraprofessional, Lakeview Elementary, Classified Step 9, $22.27/hr), and Dominic Surano (Maintenance Staff Member, District 6, Classified $21.50/hr). The board approved these hires on the consent vote.
Separately, the board approved an amendment to Keayon Senter's 11-month Assistant Principal contract to serve as Interim Principal from Jan. 21, 2026, through June 30, 2026, with a $7,500 stipend. That motion was made by Netya Perez Rivera, seconded by Jazmine Crump, and passed on a 4–0 roll-call vote.
The consent agenda and the contract amendment were approved on roll call during the meeting; members present voting aye were Jazmine Crump, Jacqueline San Diego, Netya Perez Rivera and Margie Taylor.
