Several property owners and nearby landowners appeared before the Adair County Board of Supervisors to request vacating a portion of 115th Street.
Presenters Mark Earhart, Dan Deluhery and Dan Sherman described current use of the road and the potential impacts of vacating it. Board members discussed maintenance liabilities and options including closing, graveling or reclassifying the road to Level C status. Property owners present said they supported vacating the road.
Rather than taking immediate action, the board reached consensus to revisit the process and schedule another public hearing at next week’s board meeting so affected parties can be given formal notice and the county can complete required procedural steps.
