The National City City Council moved into closed session at its Sept. 3 special meeting to discuss three pending lawsuits, the city attorney said.
The city attorney listed the matters as existing litigation involving: Cali Moda v. City of National City; BCD LLC v. City of National City; and Cummins v. City of National City. No details of the cases were disclosed in the public portion of the meeting. The council said it would report out when the meeting resumed.
After closed session the council reopened the meeting, told attendees it would report out at the end of the council meeting and took a brief pause to assemble paperwork before opening the regular meeting.
