Resident praises Montclair vector control efforts, urges pool and pet precautions

Council member Ben Lopez asked whether Raft was referring to releases of sterile male mosquitoes; Raft confirmed that sterile‑male releases and spraying have occurred every couple of weeks in Montclair and neighboring jurisdictions such as Rancho, Upland, Ontario, Chino and Chino Hills.
The exchange closed with council members thanking Raft for the report and noting that the district’s activity appears to be helping reduce mosquito numbers. The council did not take formal action during public comment.
