FORT WORTH — The City of Fort Worth Planning Commission on April 9 approved a series of right‑of‑way vacations and granted a waiver that will allow Mount Olivet Cemetery to secure a building permit for a new maintenance facility without a recorded final plat.
The commission approved the vacation of multiple rights of way near Meacham Airport (VA25028) that staff said will support a city facility adjacent to Northwest 35th Street and Ross Avenue. Staff recommended approval, saying the city will replat affected parcels and that an adjacent property owner who will receive a portion of the alley has signed the application. Cody Watson, the signing surveyor for the applicant, told the commission he was present to answer questions.
