Resident tells council erosion and standing-water problem has worsened behind North 4th Street homes

"It's so bad I have a privacy fence across the back of my yard that I put up years ago," Stevens said. "Now my privacy fence... looks like this because it's washed away so much ground that the fence can't keep itself up." He said dry-weather conditions have turned to standing water and mud after storms and that neighbors are also affected.
Council members and the borough manager told Stevens public works would coordinate a site visit. The chair and public works director (Jay) said they would follow up to identify the drainage infrastructure and determine next steps for repair; Stevens provided his contact information at the meeting.
