County manager reports Friendship Road paving complete, new payment portal set to go live Dec. 1; multiple items slated for Dec. 2 agenda

Weaver told commissioners that Friendship Road has been paved and striping will be completed by Two Rivers; well #4 on Patty Drive is complete pending water-sample results. He reported that City Hall demolition is finished and interior work is ongoing, that public works crews had repaired small leaks, and that trash-route and holiday schedules were included in a distributed newsletter.
The manager also said the county’s new payment system will replace Xpressbill Pay and is scheduled to go live on Dec. 1; the change will allow credit-card payments at the recycle center. For Dec. 2 the work session recommended commissioners vote on a 2026 meetings calendar (three time options for work sessions), adopt the 2026 employee holiday calendar, reappoint Thomas Weaver to Two Rivers, and formalize an ACCG retirement resolution.
The work session went into a brief executive session at 9:16 a.m. to discuss land matters and reconvened at 9:41 a.m. The session adjourned at 9:42 a.m.
What happens next: those agenda items will appear on the Dec. 2 regular meeting packet for formal consideration; the payment-portal vendor and implementation schedule will be included in administrative rollout steps.
