Students highlight spring sports, FFA wins and prom preparations at Norris meeting

Student representatives reported on spring athletics (baseball 9–3, track and soccer records), state speech tournament placings, FFA national qualifiers and prom and senior activities ahead of graduation.
Student representatives provided the board an upbeat summary of spring student life and activities.
A student representative (speaker 3) reported the baseball team was 9–3 and scheduled to play the Skyhawks that night. Track and field has challenged records this year, with Landry Gates noted for a girls’ long-jump record. The speech team advanced at the state meet with Matteo Weber finishing second in interpretation and Ayanna Casillas placing sixth in poetry. Soccer records and boys’ golf results were also highlighted.
Senior representative Izzy (speaker 7) described FFA successes (national qualifiers Eva Shmadi and Olivia Zovec among others), a spring pep rally on March 19, and prom (Great Gatsby theme, March 28) and post‑prom attendance. The senior rep also summarized graduation planning and counseling support for scholarship applications and commencement logistics.
Board members thanked the students for the report and congratulated the teams and participants.
