Board approves consent agenda, meeting dates, Turner kitchen pre-purchase and surplus disposals

Turner School kitchen pre-purchase: A motion by Tom Doyle, seconded by Chad McLean, approved the pre-purchase of equipment for Turner School's summer 2026 kitchen renovations. The motion passed on roll call 6–0.
Disposal of equipment: A motion by Tom Doyle, seconded by Sandra Garcia, approved disposing of a long list of items across buildings and departments, including athletic equipment, classroom furniture, five Zoll AEDs from the Department of Student Services, 2,210 end-of-life iPads, hundreds of Chromebooks and Ruckus access points and other devices. The motion passed on roll call 6–0.
Board meeting dates: A motion by Morgan Banasiak, seconded by Sandra Garcia, approved the 2026–27 Board of Education meeting dates; the motion passed on roll call 6–0.
Closed session and minutes: The board moved into closed session at 8:13 p.m. to discuss personnel, student-discipline, and collective-bargaining matters. The board reconvened at 10:16 p.m. and later approved closed session minutes of Feb. 19, 2026. The meeting adjourned at 10:21 p.m.
