The North Brunswick Township Board of Education voted to terminate employee #8958 effective Jan. 10, 2025.
A committee member moved "I'd like to make a motion to approve the termination of employee 8958 effective 01/10/2025," the motion was seconded and the board approved it by roll-call vote, with all members recorded as voting in favor.
The action followed the board's return from a closed session where personnel matters had been discussed; the board president had earlier explained that personnel, negotiations and financial matters would be discussed in closed session and made public when nondisclosure was no longer required.
By roll call the following board members were recorded as voting yes: Mister Ali; Mister Brockman; Mister Carter; Miss James; Miss Keith; Mister LaGore; Doctor Patel; Miss Toth; and Mister Wen. The clerk announced the motion was accepted.
The board did not provide additional details about the grounds for termination during the public session. The resolution adopting closed session said that the district would make information public when nondisclosure was no longer required.
The board adjourned its meeting later in the evening; no further public discussion of this personnel action was recorded.
