Commission approves software renewal, engineering and architect work orders for maintenance building

The Christian County Commission approved a set of procurement items including a contract renewal for permitting software and two work orders for design revisions on a county maintenance building.
Purchasing staff presented a one‑year renewal of ITB 2022‑25 with Online Solutions (doing business as Citizenserve) for planning and development software. Per the contract the county reduced licenses from 11 to 9 and will pay $18,900 for the renewal period that begins April 1. The board approved the renewal by voice vote.
Related to capital work on the West Jackson maintenance building, the commission approved a work order to Great River Engineering for up to $46,500 on an hourly basis to account for revisions tied to the removal of a planned recycling structure and design changes for the new maintenance building. Staff noted the amount may not reach the full $46,500 and that the auditor has approved the order, with a signature to be collected before finalizing paperwork.
The commission also approved an additional scope of services for GHN Architects totaling about $44,000 to complete construction documents, bidding, permitting and construction‑phase support; invoicing is anticipated to occur through the rest of the year and possibly into 2027. Commissioners voted to approve both work orders.
Staff said both work orders are based on existing contracts (work orders rather than new procurement) and that they will follow standard IGA and bidding rules during construction.
