The board heard a student representative report from Nathan Swank, who praised the spring musical and reminded the board that student council will attend a regional conference at Red Lion School District and that Mini Thon will hold a community night on May 1. The board also announced students of the month for the high school (Bryce Dieter and Alexis Schreckengost) and middle school (Blake Byler).
Director Klein delivered a CTC (Career and Technology Center) report, called attention to the CTC newsletter and students of the quarter, and noted a new CTC principal, Dan Romberger, who began March 2. Director Krieser, the legislative liaison, had no major state or national updates but referenced international developments such as Sweden scaling back in-class digital technology. The PSBA liaison (Director Blau) reminded the board of a PSBA scholarship deadline (March 13), described PSBA’s national conference in San Antonio in April and mentioned an online AI course for school leaders running April 6–May 8.
There were no additional instructional approvals, personnel actions, or policy discussions on the agenda. With a motion and second, the board voted to adjourn and President Nam declared the meeting closed.
Next steps: the secretary/treasurer said she continues to work on the district budget and expected an update in April; the board indicated next month’s agenda will be busier.
