Glen Ridge council approves field contracts, easement, $35,000 historic-survey grant and small fee changes

The Glen Ridge Borough Council at its meeting approved a package of routine resolutions covering field maintenance contracts, a private easement, a state grant application for historic resources and several small administrative budget changes.

Councilor Lefkowitz moved to approve Resolution 50-8-25 to authorize payment of claims and draw warrants, noting the bills list includes school and county obligations. The clerk called the roll and the motion carried on a recorded vote of 5 ayes, no nays.

Councilor Lefkowitz also introduced two budget-related items: Resolution 59-25, to shift small amounts between budget accounts to cover unexpected expenses, and Resolution 60-25, to raise the online registration fee for the borough summer day camp from $45 to $50 to help balance that program's budget. Both measures were moved, seconded and approved in recorded roll calls.

On parks business, Councilor Meyer presented Resolution 62-24 after a competitive bid process for specialized aeration services for borough athletic fields.
