The speaker said they experienced housing insecurity during their first service term and relied on available resources such as legal aid and meetings with lawyers in Los Angeles, which strengthened their commitment to public service. "It really just solidified not only my need for public service, and I really wanna be part of that and make sure that everybody has access," they said.
