Maywood board approves $307,774.44 warrant list, hears FY2021 budget overview and omnibus payments

The Village of Maywood Board on March 17 approved Warrant List No. 200489 in the amount of $307,774.44 after staff answered trustee questions about specific check numbers. The motion to approve was made by Trustee A. Sanchez and seconded by Trustee I. Brandon; the vote was recorded in favor by Mayor Edwenna Perkins and all trustees present.
Finance Director Lanya Satchell also presented an open invoices report showing outstanding amounts of $1,656,537.91 for information. Satchell gave a PowerPoint overview of the proposed FY2021 budget (May 1, 2020–April 30, 2021) and scheduled a public hearing; the budget presentation was informational.
The Board adopted Omnibus Agenda Items A–I authorizing payments and contracts including legal services statements ($5,759.00 general matters; $31,893.55 for employment/labor/litigation matters), computer consulting ($6,300.00), retail fuel purchases ($11,241.52), IEPA drinking water loan payment ($27,106.89), MABAS Division 20 dues ($6,000.00), enterprise zone consulting ($15,000.00), LED light purchases ($7,095.00), and cellular service ($6,740.36). The omnibus motion carried unanimously.
