District reports 16% chronic absenteeism; suspension and truancy numbers shared

The Student Suspension report for December 2025 listed 14 in-school suspensions and 4 out-of-school suspensions; bus suspensions were reported as zero. The Truancy Referral report for January 2026 added five new students to referrals to the Regional Office of Education and noted 24 students remaining on that referral list.
Board members did not take immediate formal action on these reports during the meeting; the items were provided for review and follow-up by student services.
