The Christian County Commission on March 5, 2026, approved rezoning case no. 2026-0011 for Gary and Sandra Chandler, changing the property from A-1 (Agricultural District) to A-R (Agricultural - Residence District). The motion to approve was made by Western Commissioner Johnny Williams and seconded by Eastern Commissioner Bradley A. Jackson; the vote was recorded as unanimous.
Resource Management Director Todd Wiesehan presented the Chandler request and the related order (recorded as 03-05-2026-02). The minutes note the requested change in zoning classification but do not record detailed conditions or specific parcel identifiers beyond the case number.
Earlier in the rezoning docket, the commission considered case no. 2025-0319 for Dirla, Inc., which sought to rezone property currently zoned A-1 and A-R to C-2 (General Commercial District). After presentation by Director Wiesehan, Presiding Commissioner Lynn Morris entertained a motion to table the Dirla request. Eastern Commissioner Bradley A. Jackson moved to table and Western Commissioner Johnny Williams seconded; the motion passed unanimously, leaving the application without a final zoning decision.
Both rezoning items were part of the commission’s land-use hearings at the March 5 session. The meeting record does not include additional public testimony for either case in the minutes.
