The Christian County Commission on March 12, 2026, unanimously appointed Linda Daugherty to the Senior Citizens Service Fund Board to fill the unexpired term of Liz Massengale.
Presiding Commissioner Lynn Morris opened the item; Western Commissioner Johnny Williams moved the appointment and Eastern Commissioner Bradley A. Jackson seconded. The motion carried with all three commissioners voting in the affirmative.
The commission also considered three openings on the county Planning and Zoning Board. Six candidates applied; commissioners each cast three votes by secret ballot and read the tallies aloud. The top three vote-getters—Michael White (reappointment), Morgan Neal and Valerie Carr—were approved in a single motion moved by Commissioner Williams and seconded by Commissioner Jackson. The vote was unanimous.
The meeting minutes show the appointments were processed as part of regular business and do not record additional conditions or deadlines attached to the appointments. The commission adjourned at 9:30 a.m.
