Imlay City Board approves new contracts, extends probationary periods and adopts MHSAA membership

The board then considered probationary teacher performance recommendations moved by Vice President Kaylee Kaeding and supported by Trustee Ashley Wolford, adopting Dr. Cameron’s recommendations to: grant an additional year of probation (Kenady Reiff, Year 1.5); place Melissa Aune, Andrea Marlett and Hunter Smith on their second year of probation; place Alexis Jaroh and Amanda Sheretko on their third year of probation; place Shelby Freer, Heather Harvey, Kortney McCulfor, Tonya Robertson, Kelly Stine and Jennifer Stoldt on their fourth year of probation; and grant an additional (Year 4.5) probation year to Tina Milovich. The board also recognized Don Brewer and Tara Herrick as newly eligible for tenure. All actions were approved by unanimous roll call votes.
Separately, moved by Trustee Ashley Wolford and supported by Treasurer Doug Van Dyk, the board adopted the Michigan High School Athletic Association (MHSAA) membership resolution for the 2025-2026 school year; that motion also passed unanimously.
