Desert Hot Springs Planning Commission elects James Nindell chair, Christopher Wagstaff vice chair

The Desert Hot Springs City Planning Commission elected James Nindell as chair and Christopher Wagstaff as vice chair during its regular meeting on Feb. 11, 2025. A commissioner moved to nominate Nindell and Wagstaff; the commission voted and approved the appointments unanimously.
The commission then approved the meeting agenda by unanimous vote. Later the body approved the minutes from the Nov. 12 meeting; because three commissioners were newly seated, the minutes were recorded as approved with three abstentions.
The actions were conducted at the start of the meeting during routine organizational business and required only procedural votes. The clerk administered roll calls and managed the electronic voting process. No public comment was made on those items.
The meeting adjourned after an orientation and a series of staff announcements.
