Summary
The Village of Maywood Board of Trustees approved Warrant List No. 200488 totaling $1,098,315.54 and an omnibus agenda that included a $671,311.40 low‑bid recommendation for the Roosevelt Road water‑main project, along with multiple vendor payments and administrative code changes.
The Village of Maywood Board of Trustees on March 3 approved Warrant List No. 200488 totaling $1,098,315.54 and an omnibus package that incorporated contract, ordinance and vendor‑payment items.
The board voted unanimously to pass the warrant and the omnibus motion, which included a resolution authorizing a contract award for the 2020 Roosevelt Road Water Main Improvements Project to Unique Plumbing Company, Inc., at the low qualified bid of $671,311.40, Village Engineer William Peterhansen said. The omnibus also authorized disposal of a 2009 Ford Escape used by the police department, participation in the 2021 Illinois Bicycle Path Grant Program and multiple vendor payments including $333,702.37 to the City of Chicago for water services and $162,639.37 to Allied Waste Service.
In discussion of the warrant motion, Trustee K. Wellington asked about several specific check numbers (102058, 102064, 102050 and 102070) and Trustee N. Booker questioned check No. 102091. Village Manager Willie Norfleet Jr. and Director of Community Development David Myers responded to those inquiries and provided the requested clarifications.
Engineer William Peterhansen said the Roosevelt Road project is projected for completion on or about June 5, 2020 and recommended awarding the contract to the lowest qualified bidder. The board approved the award as part of the omnibus vote.
The omnibus package included proposed amendments to overnight‑parking rules and administrative‑adjudication penalties, the sale of real property pursuant to the Tax Reactivation Program, and routine payments for audit, janitorial and animal‑control services. The board recorded the omnibus vote as unanimous.
The meeting proceeded without recorded dissent on the omnibus items; the board then moved to other agenda matters, including review of an intergovernmental cost‑sharing agreement that was later deferred for further legal review.
