Board approves 2025 tax levy, supplemental levy, construction bid and program contracts

The Board of Trustees of Joliet Township High School District 204 unanimously approved the district's 2025 tax levy and a supplemental tax levy to pay principal and interest on outstanding limited bonds at its Dec. 16 regular meeting.
Board member Dan Coffey moved approval of the 2025 tax levy; the motion was seconded by Michelle Stiff and passed on a 5–0 roll call vote with members Lorraine Guerrero Neumayer, Dr. Angela Huntington, Christine Lynn and Stiff voting aye.
The board also approved a resolution authorizing a supplemental tax levy to pay debt service on the district's limited bonds. Coffey moved the resolution; Lynn seconded and the vote was unanimous.
In other business the board voted 5–0 to: - Ratify a three‑year agreement between Joliet Township High School District 204 and the Joliet Township High Schools Council 204 Para‑Professional Employees (AFT‑Local 604) covering 2025–2028 (motion by Dr. Huntington, second by Mrs. Stiff). - Approve the Joliet West High School Phase 3 construction bid (motion by Mrs. Stiff; second by Dr. Huntington). - Approve the Summer Food Service 2026 program (motion by Dr. Huntington). - Accept donations as presented.
Each of these items passed by roll-call vote with ayes recorded from Guerrero Neumayer, Huntington, Coffey, Stiff and Lynn and no recorded nays.
The approvals followed routine presentation and brief comments; no amendments or recorded debates were shown in the minutes. The meeting record shows the actions were taken during the regular session after a closed executive session earlier in the evening.
