The Box Elder County Commission approved several routine administrative items during the meeting.
Scott Lyons of the Community Development Department asked the commission to reappoint Jennifer Jacobson and Lonnie Jensen to three-year terms on the Box Elder County Planning Commission; a motion to reappoint both members passed by voice vote.
County staff (Charlene Larson) presented the countys 2025 fraud risk assessment, described the overall risk as very low and noted the county still lacks a formal audit committee; commissioners voted to accept the assessment and authorized the chairs signature.
Members of the tourism tax advisory board, including Matt Hanson and Joan Hammer, presented recommended awards from the board's grant process and said the board prioritized projects with a clear tourism nexus; the commission approved the recommended 2026 tourism tax advisory board grants by voice vote.
All motions passed on voice votes and no litigation or appeal actions were recorded during the meeting.
