Council member Dave Rallo suggested the mayor’s office should contact the appointee’s office to verify where he declares his primary residence. “Somebody from Mayor Thompson's office should call and find out where he declares his primary residence,” Rallo said. Committee members noted the question implicates eligibility and representation but did not take formal action; they left follow-up to the mayor’s office.
The committee characterized the issue as a matter for inquiry rather than an immediate sanction: staff were asked to inform the mayor’s office and request clarification of the appointee’s declared residency and whether stipend or tax treatment raised any conflicts.
