Poweshiek County approves zoning change for Madison Township parcel to allow house construction

The Poweshiek County Board of Supervisors on April 2 approved a zoning change allowing a Madison Township parcel to be reclassified from agricultural to residential so the applicants, Lane and Ashley Milner, may build a house.
The board opened the public hearing at 9:00 a.m. and Zoning Administrator J.D. Griffith reported the Zoning Commission had voted 6-0 to recommend approval and that there were no oppositions. After brief consideration, Supervisor Jeff Tindle moved to approve the request; Vice Chairman Jacki Bolen seconded. The roll call vote was Jason Roudabush AYE, Jacki Bolen AYE and Jeff Tindle AYE, and the motion carried 3-0.
The parcel is described as Parcel A in the SW 1/4 of the SW 1/4 of Section 13, Township 81N Range 14W, Madison Township (Parcel #3713300), located on the south side of 328th Avenue approximately 700 feet west of V18. The public hearing was closed at 9:04 a.m. The board later adjourned at 9:45 a.m.
J.D. Griffith signed the public hearing minutes as Zoning Administrator; the county auditor recorded the action in the meeting minutes.
