Butler County Board approves routine resolutions, authorizes tax certificates and tables additional Region 5 funding

At its April 6 meeting the Butler County Board approved routine fee reports, authorized tax certificates, approved the 2026 FTA Title VI Plan for rural transit, authorized up to $1,000 for parade radio ads, and tabled a $2,601 supplemental Region 5 request.
The Butler County Board of Supervisors handled several routine and budgetary items at its April 6 meeting in David City, approving fee reports, authorizing tax certificates, adopting the 2026 FTA Title VI Plan for Butler County Rural Transit and approving limited parade promotion funding.
The board accepted the County Clerk and Clerk of the District Court fee reports and the Sheriff’s March monthly report and approved early payroll for separated employees.
County Treasurer Karey Adamy presented a list of parcels not sold at tax sale and the board authorized issuance of tax certificates so the county may proceed to foreclosure if taxes remain unpaid. The board also approved the 2026 FTA Title VI Plan for Butler County Rural Transit with a condition to update the director’s contact information; County Attorney Julie Reiter had reviewed the plan and reported no legal issues.
The Visitors Committee’s recommendation for up to $1,000 to purchase radio advertising for the 2026 Butler County Parade was approved. Region 5 Systems requested the statutory county match ($16,707) and an additional $2,601 for administration; the board discussed the additional $2,601 and tabled that supplemental request until the next meeting. Committee reports were none and correspondence from Butler County Development board minutes was noted.
Other approvals included various resolutions related to Senior Center accounts and signers, and the board recessed briefly before reconvening and later adjourning at 12:22 p.m.
