During the public-comment period, Lisa Rasmussen, representing the Atwater Bombers fall baseball organization, thanked the council for prior support and described a requested expansion to cover 13–15-year-old players to help keep students’ skills competitive for high school tryouts. Rasmussen thanked sponsors and the Atwater Police Officers Association for support.
After public comment the council voted to approve the consent calendar as amended. The mayor clarified that removing Item 6 did not approve it and that it would return to the agenda after staff and the council obtain more information.
