Road Supervisor Dan Evans and district road foremen Brent Pribnow and Kent Hamilton briefed the board on upcoming projects and equipment needs. Commissioners approved purchase of a Hotsy model 797 pressure washer, including hose and accessories, at an approximate cost of $6,713 and authorized Evans to sign the vendor quote.
The board also approved ordering two pickup trucks under the Nebraska state contract from Jonny Dodge Chrysler Jeep: a 2026 Ram 3500 Tradesman Regular Cab 4x4 long box (approximately $43,114) and a 2026 Ram 2500 Tradesman Crew Cab 4x4 regular box (approximately $46,275). The motion to accept those state-bid prices was made by Commissioner Brian J. Yosten and seconded by Chairman Jon Lindgren; the vote was unanimous.
Road Superintendent Brian McDonald asked the board to advertise for sealed bids for a microsurfacing project on existing county asphalt roadways. The board authorized the County Clerk to publish notices for three consecutive weeks (March 25, April 1 and April 8) and set sealed-bid opening for April 13, 2026, at 10:00 A.M.
The actions were taken as part of the board’s regular session; several road-related complaints were later raised by a member of the public during the meeting’s comment period.
