Montgomery County Commission approves multiple vendor contracts, library appointment and routine disbursements

The Montgomery County Commission on June 24, 2025 approved several procurement contracts for road materials and waste services, confirmed routine payroll and accounts-payable disbursements, appointed a county representative to the city-county library board and approved travel requests, during a formal session at the Montgomery County Courthouse Annex III.

The actions were unanimous. Commissioners present — Chairman Singleton, Vice Chairman Moore-Zeigler, Commissioner Sankey, Commissioner Harris and Commissioner Castanza — voted to carry each motion, generally on single motions for each agenda item.

Why it matters: the contracts provide the county’s Engineering and Support Services departments with aggregate materials for road work and routine waste-management services for county facilities; the awards include one-year terms with renewal options and contract provisions (price-adjustment and termination clauses) that affect how the county manages vendor relationships and budgets over the coming year.
