The Lowell Planning Board approved routine business and took action to remove an inactive member and open applications for a replacement.
On a motion by Committee member (S6), seconded by Committee member (S1), the board approved the meeting agenda unanimously. The board also approved minutes from its prior meeting on a subsequent unanimous vote.
Staff reported that a previously appointed board member had missed more than three consecutive meetings, a condition referenced in the board’s bylaws. Committee member (S6) moved to remove that member; the motion passed unanimously. The board then voted to open the application process for the vacancy. The staff member said “Cheryl will post it on our website and we’ll probably keep it up for 30 days,” and that staff will collect applications and forward recommendations to the city council for appointment.
The board also addressed clerical housekeeping: a staff member (Clerk) instructed members who accept the monthly stipend to complete the NC‑4 and W‑4 payroll forms so they can be placed on payroll, noting members may return the first‑page forms by July 1. The meeting concluded after the board approved an adjournment motion unanimously.
