Ordinance 14-52, amending fees under the Uniform Construction Code, was approved on first reading and scheduled for a second reading and public hearing on April 9, 2025 at 9:30 a.m.
Resolutions and administrative actions: The commission adopted a resolution canceling erroneous 2025 sewer rents totaling $124 for property at 7201 Ocean Avenue; authorized advertisement for bids on the 2025 road resurfacing program; approved award of a professional-services contract to the Lomax Group for specialized engineering and environmental consulting services (for $4,450); authorized advertisement of bids for landscaping services at Higbee and Morey Fields; and authorized submission of a FY2026 community project funding grant application seeking $4,000,000 for the Heather Road boardwalk and fishing pier. All motions were approved by roll call.
Other routine business: Commissioners voted to pay all properly authorized bills and accepted a package of monthly departmental reports (court administrator, CFO, tax collector, police, recreation supervisor, construction official, fire prevention, EMS coordinator and volunteer fire company chief).
