The Auburn City Council took several formal actions at its Aug. 4 workshop.
- Waived temporary food license fee for Age Friendly Community Committee lobster feed (Order 6708042025). Vote: 7–0 by show of hands.
- Adopted an amended master fee schedule (Order 6808042025). The council reduced the proposed residential new-construction permit rate and amended the cannabis licensing increase on the floor from 10% to 5%; the motion as amended passed 6–1.
- Passed first reading of Ordinance 0408042025 to move marijuana application and licensing fees from the ordinance text to Appendix A (the fee schedule). Vote by roll call: 7–0.
- Approved follow-up action from executive session (Order 6908042025) accepting the city manager’s evaluation and awarding a 4% wage increase effective 07/01/2025. Vote: 6–1.
