School committee outlines budget drivers and AMS project timeline

He said the school committee will present additional elements of the budget over upcoming meetings.
Platt also described the AMS project timeline: the schematic phase is expected to conclude in March 2026; a nine-month phase for drawings and engineering would extend into late 2026, and, if the project goes forward, an 18-month construction period would target completion in 2028. Platt emphasized the timeline represents planning and feasibility work and not a final decision to build.
Councilors thanked volunteers and community contributors to recent events and noted related community scheduling.
