During its Jan. 7 meeting, the Beardstown City Council received routine department reports and heard a brief discussion of the Flock Safety camera program from Alderperson Ron Culves.
The Water Superintendent reported December 2024 production of 13,847,008 gallons and a May 1–April 30 year-to-date total of 123,303,355 gallons. The Police Chief provided December statistics, including 464 calls answered in December and 5,399 year-to-date, with monthly and year-to-date counts for arrests, traffic stops, warrants and other categories. The Fire Chief's report listed year-to-date totals of 162 incidents; monthly totals were recorded as N/A in the minutes. Code Enforcement and the Zoning Officer submitted reports for December that were attached to the minutes.
Alderperson Ron Culves discussed the Flock Safety Camera Program with the council; the minutes note the discussion but record no motion or vote related to the program. There were no public comments during the meeting.
