Luis Velasquez urged support for salaries, better health benefits and school safety during the current year’s negotiations.
Following the break, each trustee announced their top two candidates. The board then deliberated in open session. A trustee moved to appoint Kashik Jogulkar, the motion was seconded, and trustees recorded their votes by roll call. The motion carried and the appointee was congratulated and asked to come forward to take the oath of office.
