Harlem Consolidated School District #122 board approves payroll, payables and personnel changes
Summary
At its Oct. 27 meeting the Harlem Consolidated School District #122 Board of Education approved payables and payroll summaries and adopted a consent agenda that included 11 new employments, nine resignations and one transfer; all votes were unanimous (7–0).
The Board of Education of Harlem Consolidated School District #122 voted unanimously Oct. 27 to approve financial summaries and a personnel addendum, taking routine but consequential steps to keep district operations funded and staffed.
In a recorded vote the board approved payables totaling $518,649.13, noted voided checks of $126,386.75, approved payroll vouchers totaling $3,862,003.32 and accepted accounts payable warrants of $4,380,652.45. The motion to approve bills was moved by Kurt Thompson and seconded by Mike Sterling; the board recorded seven ayes and the motion carried.
During the consent agenda the board approved a personnel agenda and addendum that listed 11 employments, nine resignations and one transfer. Rebecca Carlson moved the personnel approval and Aaron McKnight seconded; the motion carried on a 7–0 vote. The consent agenda also included approvals of student travel and facility requests (see separate entries).
Board procedural motions earlier in the meeting included approval of the Oct. 14, 2025 minutes (motion: Diana Johnson; second: Rebecca Carlson) and approval of the meeting agenda (motion: Kurt Thompson; second: Aaron McKnight); both motions passed with seven ayes.
The board recessed to an executive session later in the meeting; no additional formal actions were recorded after the closed session. The meeting adjourned at 6:45 p.m.
