Board approves Highlands Athletic Complex payments, a small change order and amends 2025–26 school calendar

Staff reported a conditions change order related to turf installation that decreased contract costs by $357.94. The board approved the change order after a motion and a voice vote.
The board then approved pay application number 20 to Morrell Construction Company for $220,644.85 for work at the Highlands Athletic Complex at Tower Park. The motion was moved, seconded and carried on an affirmative voice vote.
Separately, pay application number 8 to Regler Blacktop for $5,000 was approved; the meeting record notes the motion was made by Russell and seconded by Foster.
On the calendar, staff explained that two weather makeup days (Dec. 2 and Jan. 26) were being reassigned; as a result the district moved the last student day to May 22, 2026 and added May 19, 2026 as an instructional day, shifting the last teacher workday to May 26. The board unanimously approved the amendment.
All votes were recorded by voice; meeting minutes show motions carried for the construction pay applications, the small change order, and the calendar amendment.
