Wabasha County Board approves sheriff salary settlement, licenses, contracts and appointment

The Wabasha County Board of Commissioners met in regular session on March 17, 2026 at the Wabasha County Courthouse. Board Chairperson Wobbe called the meeting to order and the board unanimously approved the agenda and consent items.
The board adopted Resolution 2026-061, approving a settlement that sets the 2026 salary for the elected Wabasha County Sheriff at $150,000 and rescinds Resolution 2025-236. The minutes state the sheriff had appealed the earlier salary determination to the Wabasha County District Court and that settlement conversations resulted in the $150,000 figure.
