At the close of its meeting the Laramie County Planning Commission moved several largely noncontroversial items to the Board of County Commissioners for final action.
Archer Estates 12th filing subdivision: Staff recommended, and the commission voted to recommend approval of the subdivision permit and plat for Tract 1 Archer Estates 9th (7655 West Ed Road) to the Laramie County Board of County Commissioners with no conditions. Staff noted the subdivision would divide a 13‑acre parcel into two residential tracts, served by individual wells and septic systems; a traffic/drainage study waiver was approved by engineers because impacts are minimal.
Unincorporated zone district map amendment: Staff proposed removing rural residential zone districts across much of the county (approximately 75,000 acres) to allow conditional use permit review and greater flexibility; changes requested by residents in Winchester Hills and Bison Crossing were incorporated. The commission recommended approval with no conditions.
Planning and development fee schedule: Staff presented an updated fee schedule tied to the land use regulation changes, effective July 1. The county added a nontraditional housing fee to allow permanent RV living under defined conditions; staff said most fees are the same or lower than the prior schedule. The commission recommended adoption of the fee schedule to the Board of County Commissioners.
All three recommendations were forwarded to the Board of County Commissioners; the planning commission conducted roll‑call votes on each motion and the items passed on majority votes.
