Laramie County grants staff told commissioners on Sept. 2 that Amendment No. 1 to contract 240917-12 with the Wyoming Department of Health will extend the grant term an additional year and add $197,700 to support services for people with opioid and stimulant use disorders enrolled in the county's treatment court program.
"This amendment extends the term an additional year and adds an additional $197,700 to the program," Grants staff Sandra Bay said, describing the state opioid-response treatment grant and how the funds will be used for medicated-assisted treatment and evidence-based recovery services. Bay noted the treatment court director was present and available to answer program-impact questions.
A commissioner moved to approve the amendment; the motion was seconded and passed on roll call. County grants and the treatment court will implement the additional services in accordance with the contract and applicable reporting requirements to the Wyoming Department of Health.
The transcript did not include the original contract amount in the statement read to the board; staff read the amendment's added amount and term extension on the record.
