County approves cooperative agreements with WYDOT, advancing US‑30/Del Range/Whitney Road projects

The Laramie County Board of County Commissioners approved two cooperative agreements with the Wyoming Department of Transportation and the City of Cheyenne to advance improvements on US‑30, Del Range Boulevard and Whitney Road.
John Palma of Laramie County Public Works described Amendment 2 to the county’s cooperative agreement with WYDOT for project B22 1004, which updates cost and federal funding percentages shared between the county and the city. He also presented a memorandum of understanding (project B231031) under which Cheyenne will reimburse the county for preliminary engineering, right‑of‑way and utility costs related to the Del Range/Whitney project.
Palma said the combined effort updates the funding split and that the project is anticipated to go out to bid within the next couple of months. Commissioners approved both the amendment and the MOU by roll call.
Next steps: staff will proceed with final pre‑bid tasks and coordinate reimbursement arrangements with the City of Cheyenne and WYDOT.
