Board appoints two members, postpones subdivision hearing and approves road renaming

At its Dec. 16 meeting the Laramie County Board of Commissioners approved two appointments, postponed a subdivision permit hearing and granted a road-renaming request.
Commissioner Heath moved to appoint Lynn Story Hyler to the Laramie County Community Juvenile Services Joint Powers Board to complete a term ending June 30, 2027; the motion was seconded and approved by unanimous roll call. Commissioner Hollingshead moved to appoint Rebecca Marcy to the Cheyenne-Laramie County Board of Health for a five-year term expiring Dec. 31, 2030; that motion also passed unanimously.
Justin Arnold of Laramie County Planning and Development introduced Item 12, a public hearing on a subdivision permit and plat for the Life subdivision (a portion of Section 24, Township 15 North Range 67 West). Planning staff and the applicant requested an extension; Shane Hansen of Style Surveying Services asked for a postponement. The commission voted to postpone the matter to the Jan. 20 meeting.
On Item 13, Arnold presented a street-renaming application to change the road variously read in the record as Vadaray/Vauderey/Vauderet Court to Canyon Ridge within Lone Tree Ridge Estate second filing. Staff reported that affected property owners were notified via certified mail and that the application conforms with the cited Laramie County Land Use Regulations (staff cited the governing sections). No public comment was recorded; a commissioner moved to grant the renaming and adopt staff findings, which the commission approved unanimously.
The meeting closed with no further business and adjournment.
