Janet Lewis, executive director of the American Red Cross of Wyoming, told the board the month recognizes local volunteers who support disaster relief, blood collection and military family assistance. "Every day, their acts of kindness change lives, bringing relief, comfort, and hope when help can't wait," Lewis said, and noted the Red Cross has served communities for about 145 years.
Commissioners moved and adopted the resolution by roll call and thanked Lewis and local Red Cross volunteers for their service.
