The Laramie County Board of County Commissioners approved the Merrill Meadows subdivision permit and plat during the March 3 meeting. Justin Arnold of County Planning and Development presented the application on behalf of the applicant and said the small subdivision divides an existing 38.99‑acre tract into two lots: a 5.25‑acre residential lot and a 33.74‑acre vacant remainder.
Arnold said the subdivision lies at Road 149 and State Highway 214 near Carpenter and will use an existing access easement and State Highway access for the proposed lots; no new public roads or additional highway access points are proposed. Staff found the application meets the small‑subdivision criteria in county code but recommended one condition: all agency review comments must be addressed before the plat is recorded.
No members of the public spoke in opposition during the hearing. The board voted to approve Merrill Meadows with the stated condition and adopted staff findings.
