Commissioners approve $240,403 IT purchase after vendor price changes

Dunn explained that the originally preferred HP bidder increased its pricing by roughly 48% due to storage and memory shortages, prompting staff to select the Dell bidder. “Most of these quotes are no longer valid,” Dunn said, describing lead‑time and pricing shifts. Commissioners supported returning to a single vendor family (Dell) to simplify deployment and service.
Commissioner Carlman moved to approve the purchase; Commissioner Gardner seconded. The motion carried unanimously.
