Public commenters urge wastewater coordination; funeral-home raises winter burial needs

"The old fallacy of dilution is a solution to pollution... is wrong," Pruzan said, calling for formation of a joint powers board to address wastewater and water-quality improvements in 2026.
Krista Nethercott, who identified herself as part owner of a local funeral home, asked the boards to clarify procedures for handling deaths in winter months when burial may be difficult. She said the funeral home has limited space to store bodies for months and requested direction on where families should expect burials to occur and how costs and secure storage will be handled.
Both speakers asked staff and elected officials to follow up; board members acknowledged the requests and noted related items (wastewater management, JPA reviews) would be scheduled for future discussion.
